Hotel Ploberger

Everything was good. The rooms were clean and spaceous and well equipped. Everybody from the staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast was really good I'm glad we chose to include it. Area/streets were peaceful and quiet when we were visiting. Heating was arranged trough ventilation system so it seamed it works but with very slow reaction.

WARNING- THIS HOTEL WILL ILLEGALLY CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD AND DENY RESPONSIBILITY. I made a room reservation online and entered my credit card to guarantee the room. I selected a rate that allowed me to "pay on site - book without advance payment". I received a confirmation email for the booking where it was also written "pay on site - book without advance payment". Without my consent, the very next day, the hotel pre-charged my credit card immediately for 100% of the stay. When contacted the hotel staff had a bad attitude, said I was wrong and it's not their fault. I am attaching a screenshot of the rate shown in my confirmation email.

We came to Wels for a long weekend to attend a wedding and needed a centrally located hotel so we could have easy access to the venues. Ploberger came highly reccomended and it did not disappoint. The location is absolutely perfect, everything is close by, there is a taxi station and a huge bus station 100 m away from the hotel. The hotel itself is family run, which is already extremely charming. The common areas are BEAUTIFUL and super comfy. There is a huge breakfast room, billiard table, sauna gym (we didn't get to visit it this time but maybe next time!) And a beautiful courtyard with a little fountain. Really wonderful. The breakfast spread was generous, fresh and delicious. Be sure to try the homemade apple marmalade, I would have bought three jars to take home with me. It's very delicious. We stayed in the "comfort" room. For 120 euros a night, it is an absolutely great deal. Very spacious. Minibar, coffeemachine and desk. 2 reclining chairs. A seperate bathroom and toilet (with a BIDET!) and a very spacious double bed. It was quiet even though we were facing the street. Good light blocking and functioning AC. The only suggestion I could make would be to install either a shower curtain or a glass protector into the bath tub. We are shower people and both me and my partner found it difficult not to flood the bathroom whilst taking a stand up shower as the wall partition is just a little too short. Just a simple shower curtain would do the trick. Otherwise, no complaints. The staff was chill and polite. The housekeeping was great! The day we were going to the wedding we were rushing and we left quite a mess. Once we returned not only was everything spotless but the housekeeper took the time to carefully fold our clothes and organize the room a bit. Very thoughtful. Overall, amazing amazing amazing. Great stay!
